The Igbo Studies Association (ISA) is pleased to announce the election of two new members to its Advisory Board, welcoming new perspectives and expertise to the Association’s leadership.

Joining the ISA Advisory Board are Professor Chima Korieh of Marquette University, Milwaukee, USA, and Professor Ada Azodo of Indiana University Northwest, Indianapolis, USA.

“We are delighted to welcome Professors Korieh and Azodo to the ISA Advisory Board,” said Dr. Chidi Igwe, President of the Igbo Studies Association. “Their experience and scholarship will strengthen the work of the Association as we continue to advance Igbo Studies and build meaningful connections among scholars around the world.”

They join continuing Advisory Board members Professor Apollos Nwauwa, Chair, Bowling Green State University, USA; Professor Akachi Ezeigbo, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Nigeria; and Professor Obiajulu Emejulu, National Institute of Nigerian Languages, Nigeria.

The current Advisory Board is therefore:

ISA extends its sincere appreciation to Professor Chikwendu C. Ukaegbu, Emeritus, University of Wyoming, USA, and Mr. John Sherman, Mesa Verde Press, Indianapolis, USA, who have completed their service on the Advisory Board.

Their contributions, guidance and commitment to the Association have been valued, and ISA is grateful for the time and expertise they have devoted to advancing the Association’s mission.

As ISA continues to strengthen its global network of scholars and promote scholarship on Igbo history, culture, language, literature and society, the Association looks forward to the contributions of its new and continuing Advisory Board members.

ISA congratulates Professors Chima Korieh and Ada Azodo on their election and warmly welcomes them to the Advisory Board.

The Association also thanks all outgoing and continuing members for their service and commitment to the advancement of Igbo Studies.
