Theme: Violence against Women in Igbo Society
Violence against women pervades and manifests in various forms and degrees in different cultures of the world. In Igboland, certain cultural norms against women sustain this vexing question.
Theme: Mu na Gi: Igbo Culture of Self
Similar to many ethnicities and societies in Africa, the Igbo have faced numerous challenges, one of which is the complexity of the relationship between the self and community or the other.
Dear colleagues,
Considering the current state of the global pandemic and that health and travel restrictions have not been fully lifted, the ISA Executive Management Team consulted and decided that the 2022 conference will now be 100% virtual instead of hybrid as previously planned in Chicago.
Your ISA membership must be renewed annually in order to remain active.
