Francophone Studies
A research group for ISA members interested in Francophone studies, African and Caribbean literatures, French-language scholarship, translation, language contact, diaspora studies, comparative literature, colonial and postcolonial studies, and the relationship between Francophone worlds and Igbo/African studies.
Research focus: This group focuses on Francophone African literature, culture, language, translation, identity, migration, colonial and postcolonial histories, multilingualism, and comparative approaches linking Francophone studies with Igbo, Nigerian, African, and diaspora research.
Group rules:
Members are welcome to share publications, teaching resources, conference calls, translation questions, literary analyses, and collaboration opportunities. Discussions should remain respectful, scholarly, and inclusive of diverse Francophone regions and traditions. Members should cite sources where appropriate and encourage constructive academic exchange.
